what we fund

Marquez is a public school, but the education your children receive here is actually something we like to call Public Education Plus+.   What's that?  It's the magic that happens when Marquez gets to combine LAUSD funding with the substantial contributions Marquez families make each year via Friends of Marquez.   Together, Marquez familes fund the salaries of the additional teachers and aides who enable us to have class sizes that are well below the LAUSD average.   We also fund science, art, music, the Media Lounge, P.E., the Edible Garden, Mr. Lantos' plays and the Digital Edge Program.
